According to the system, there should often be enough components for an order on a reel, but then it is suddenly empty during assembly. A replacement has to be found. Was the reel not delivered full? Were too many components discarded during assembly? Only a component count can provide the answer. Because if the production line stops due to missing components, it costs money.
Increased efficiency in warehouse management
During the inventory, dozens of opened reels are found and their expiration date is approaching: How many components are on them? A new reel is often simply started instead of using the expiration date as a decision criterion. Component counting not only minimizes the inventory effort, but also brings efficiency and cost savings to warehouse management.
Easy and fast material counting
Components or reels are not damaged during X-ray component counting. The materials can even be packed in dry packs and inserted into the X-ray component counting machine. The time required is minimal: four reels can be recorded and accounted for in 10 seconds. No tedious clamping - simply load quickly and start the X-ray process at the touch of a button.

In order to make optimum use of resources, the exact quantity of available resources must be known at all times. With an X-ray component count, the quantity of delivered components can be checked and recorded as soon as the goods are received. Counting all line returns provides information about the exact remaining stocks.
The HAWKEYE2000 is designed as a stand-alone solution, but can easily be connected to higher-level systems such as the ERP or MES system. This means that the component stocks recorded in the system are always up to date.
